Importance of clean drinking Water

Rajahmundry has a good source of water supply since it is on the banks of River Godavari.  But that doesn’t guarantee everyone has access to safe clean drinking water.

Water is a fundamental human need. Everyone requires 25-50 liters of water every day for drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes.

Polluted water isn’t just dirty—it’s deadly. Some 1.8 million people die every year of diarrheal diseases like cholera. Tens of millions of others are seriously sickened by a host of water-related ailments—many of which are easily preventable.

Simple steps to prevent water born illnesses:

  • Always use a clean glass to drink water
  • If the water has any particles, please boil and cool it down
  • Don’t drink water directly from a pond, lake or river.

After all, it is your body… take care of it by feeding clean drinking water!
